Hello Gamer is the first mobile app to connect women gamers and those who feel marginalised by the gaming community, based on their gaming preferences so that they can make new friends and share tips & advice without worries of online harassment.

According to the Women’s Media Center’s Speech Project, chat room participants with female usernames report receiving threatening or sexually explicit private messages 25 times more often than those with male or ambiguous usernames (Washington Post, 2019).
